Dugnad comes from the old Norse word Dugnaðr. It describes the long celebrated Nordic tradition of pulling together and get work done as a collective in order to accomplish something that benefits a larger community.
At Dugnad we believe that collaborations and the cross-pollination of ideas and resources across multiple fuels an energetic community and stimulates the mutual growth of businesses. We are a non-profit space and surplus goes back into developing the space actitvities for the members. The members of the space all work in different sectors as well as genres.
Dugnad Music & Media Workspace was founded by Sound Diplomacy and Music Norway in the summer of 2015. They overlook the day-to-day management.
